Born in Paris, France and raised in New York City, Harry Gold began his career in entertainment as an actor, cast in the Broadway hit Oliver at age 12. He then went on to appear in various other productions on and off-broadway while also appearing in many commercials and voice-overs. Harry studied at the Actor’s Studio in New York as well as with Herbert Berghoff and Joseph Anthony.
In March 1975, Harry his wife Bonnie and their daughters Tracey and Missy left NYC for Los Angeles to continue his acting career. He landed several commercials, pilots and guest roles that included Mash, Maude, 8 is Enough, and Phyllis. In features he played roles in The World’s Greatest Lover, American Family and his favorite the classic film Carrie. His daughters were quick to follow in his footsteps with Tracey and Missy landing roles in hits including Growing Pains and Benson. In 1981 Harry left acting for agency work and following a few stints at other agencies opened up his own firm. In 1982 he formed Harry Gold and Associates, a talent agency for actors of all ages.
In 2002 after 20 years of business and several name changes the company permanently became TalentWorks. In 2007 Harry and TalentWorks celebrated 25 years of being in business with as strong a roster of clients as ever. Harry currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife of many years, Bonnie. Together they have raised 5 beautiful daughters and have 4 grandsons and 3 granddaughters.
